Football Player of the Week

This week’s football member of the week is junior, RJ Cortez. RJ is the son of Ramiro and Sheila Cortez and he has been playing football for most of his life. In football RJ mainly plays defensive end but you can sometimes catch him in a play as a tight end. RJ’s favorite memory this year would have to be the Kenton game, where they pulled out a big win. RJ is not sure if he will play football in college yet or where he will be attending if he does. The Wildcats record is 1-5 on the year and they are led by head coach, Ryan Reindel. RJ’s best friends on the team are Ty Sibert, Austin Williams, Ian Armentrout, and Carter Parlapiano. Next year RJ hopes to help lead the Wildcats to a winning season. He also hopes that they will get a shot at the playoffs again and that he will be named defensive lineman of the year. Outside of high school football RJ’s favorite college team is Ohio State and his favorite NFL team is the Washington football team. RJ has accomplished many things so far in his football career and he’s only hoping to get better. If you see #9 make a good play on the field anytime that would be RJ!
