Brad Hurtig and Yes Fest

Last Tuesday Brad Hurtig shared an inspirational message with the middle school and high school here at Bath. His message was “Find a Way”. He told his story of losing both arms and learning to adjust to his new life and find a way to do the things he loved to do. We also had guest speakers Wayne Campbell from Tyler’s Lights and Shelly Mooney from Mercy Health with help from ONU students speak on the topic of misusing prescription medication and other drugs. Lucy Flowers from the Partnership for Violence Free Families also gave an important message on the topic of Suicide Prevention. Interact also hosted Yes Fest throughout the day. There were many different clubs and organizations set up in the gym for the students to volunteer or join.  They ended the day with an ice cream sundae bar to cool off and watched staff and students compete in the staff Olympics.
