Celtics Take Game One

On Monday night, April 30, the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers faced off in the first game of the second round series for the Eastern Conference. The Celtics won their previous series in seven games versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The Sixers won their previous series against the Miami Heat in five games, which was a fairly easy series for Philadelphia. The Celtics have home court advantage and are the second seed while the Sixers are the third. The game was expected to be close, both teams are young and inexperienced. However, the game was completely dominated by the Celtics. Boston had multiple young stars step up to the plate combined with the return of Marcus Smart. The final score of the game was 117-101, Celtics. Terry Rozier dropped 29 points and Jayson Tatum had 28 points for the Celtics while Joel Embiid grabbed 13 rebounds and dropped 31 points for the Sixers. The outcome of this series should be interesting and I can’t wait to see what happens.
