New Restaurant Coming

There is a new restaurant being created in our very own downtown Lima. This restaurant will be a bar style restaurant created by Sam McLean and Ray Magnus, two Lima area business professionals. The purpose of this restaurant is to promote the downtown area and offer more choices of food for Lima residents. Mclean, who also serves on the Lima City Council, said that he wanted to provide an area downtown where people could go to eat, meet, and drink. The business partners purchased 318 N. Main St. which was the former Main Street Irish Pub. This bar/restaurant is yet to be named but is intended to open by late September or early October. An internet jukebox, a gas fireplace and about a dozen televisions are all intended to be included in this new restaurant. The menu is also not finalized, but it is set up to be a lunch time and evening crowd. By the time the bar opens, the two hope to hire 20 to 25 chefs, cooks, servers, bartenders, and security officers. If you are looking for a job or a nice place to eat within the next year, make sure to keep this place in the back of your mind!
