Panera’s Cream Cheese Recall

Panera Bread has recently recalled all of their cream cheese across the United States. Panera has 2,000 different locations in the United States and sells both two and eight ounce cream cheese products every day. Panera said they had made the decision to take these off of the market because of “the abundance of caution”, after one of their samples had tested positive for┬áListeria Monocytogenes. Even though they have found this disease, their has been no illnesses reported. Only one of the two-ounce cream cheese products tested positive for this disease, but they are putting ten different cream cheese products in their recall. The types of cream cheese products in this recall are Plain, reduced-fat plain, reduced-fat chive and onion, reduced-fat honey walnut, and reduced-fat wild blueberry. Panera has said that the listeria that has been found is contained. The tests that they have done both before and after appear to be negative. So hopefully no one runs into any major problems from all of this.
