Groundhog Day

As you all know, ground hog day determines if you have six more weeks of winter, or if you are going to have an early spring. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow from the sunny weather which means we are in for six more weeks of winter. Phil is the world’s most famous groundhog who determines our weather prediction every year. Phil and his groundhog wife Phyllis live in their own zoo at the library in Punxsutawney, Pa. If anyone would like to see Phil and Phyllis, you can look at them through an outside window. John Griffiths has been one of the people in Phil’s daily life for 20 years now. Jon gets everything ready for Phil including his lunch for his big day on February 2nd. Even though he has been one of Phil’s mates, Phil does not give John any inside information before he predicts it for the world. Hopefully these six more weeks of winter won’t be too bad!
