The Memphis Grizzles played the New Orleans Pelicans last night and the game came down to the wire. Both offenses showed up to play and the game was neck and neck for all 4 quarters. Demarcus Cousins led the offense for the Pelicans while Tyreke Evans led it for the Grizzles. Evans hit precise free throws with 5.9 seconds left in the game and Marc Gasol helped on the defensive end for the Grizzles locking down the paint. The game came down to the final seconds and Grizzles shut out the Pelicans in the final seconds. Even though the Pelicans had a better field goal percentage, they couldn’t pull through. The Grizzlies efforts on the boards were what definitely helped them pull through totaling 61 rebounds. The Pelicans also had a better 3 point percentage shooting 31.4% from behind the ark. but were killed with their turnovers. 12 total turnovers happened for the Pelicans and the Grizzlies were able to turn them into points coming out on top.
