Three players from U.C.L.A. were arrested in China on accounts of shoplifting. The players were LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill and are all freshman at U.C.L.A. LiAngelo Ball is the brother of LA Lakers’ point guard Lonzo Ball and Chino Hills star LaMello Ball. LiAngelo Ball’s father, LaVar Ball, has not made any comments on the situation. The Pac-12 is very disappointed in the young men and are going to look very closely into the court trial. They are currently being held in a China jail. The police records say that the men were trying to steal from a Louis Vuitton store. ESPN has said that the players were released on bail but that information is yet to be confirmed. The police brought in players from Georgia Tech to be questioned and see if they knew anything of the robbery. All three players will be benched until further notice.
