Many people suffer from sleep disorders and psychologists are using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help people get a good night’s sleep. Many people who have issues when they sleep have these a few nights a week or more. There are so many different sleep disorders including sleep apnea, night terrors, narcolepsy, insomnia, etc. Psychologist Jack Edinger and his colleagues discovered that CBT has worked better than muscle relaxations and placebo treatments for people with insomnia. Many adults have occasional difficulties while sleeping, at least up to 40 percent report it. When people get more sleep typically most people are happier, healthier, and safer. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration made estimates that when people are driving while they are drowsy or fatigued leads to more than 100,000 motor vehicle crashes per year. CBT has been said by many to reduce false beliefs about sleep also helping with the behavioral process. There is said to be by many psychologists that there is a treatment for all of these disorders.
