The deadliest mass shooting in U.S history occurred last night in Las Vegas. Sources have confirmed that 58 are dead and 515 are injured. The identified gunman was retired 64 year old Stephan Paddock. He rained gunfire down on a crowd of 22,000 who were attending a Jason Aldean concert at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. He camped out in a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino. SWAT teams later found that he had at least ten automatic weapons prepared to cause as much damage as possible. Witnesses said that there were scattered rounds of gunfire shot into the crowd for about a ten minute period. This gave SWAT teams the time needed to work their way up to the 32nd floor where the gunman was. They found him dead due to a self-inflicted gun wound. No motive for this atrocious act has been found, and his family claims the Paddock would be the very last person to commit such a crime. They are in just as much shock as everyone else is for why he felt the need to do this. Investigators are still working to find all details on how this was even able to happen, and how to prevent a horrible event like this from ever happening again.
