Club de Español or also known as Spanish Club, is a very fun way of getting students to raise their own knowledge about the different cultures. In Spanish club, they do many projects and put them around the school so the other kids that are not in Spanish classes can also learn about these differences. Some projects they do are making tissue paper flowers, painting pumpkins, coloring masks, and much more. Last year, the members actually read some children’s books in Spanish to the kindergarteners and helped do food donations. Besides the projects, they also throw many fiestas (parties) and get to taste some of the food known around the Spanish culture. One fun thing to know about Spanish club is that you actually do not need to be in Spanish classes to join! The members of Spanish club meet on Thursdays during Wildcat Time, so if you would like to join just come to the meetings in Mrs. Oliver’s room!
