Cleveland Takes Game 1

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors on Monday night in game one of the second round with a score of 116-105. Cleveland jumped out to an early lead in the 1st quarter to take a 12 point lead after the 1st. The 2nd quarter the Raptors responded, but the Cavs still outscored the Raptors by 2 for a 14 point halftime lead. Lebron James made sure Cleveland stayed focused after halftime as the Cavaliers grew their lead to 22 points at the end of the 3rd. The bench players for the Cavaliers came in mid-way through the 4th quarter, and the Raptors went on a little run but just ran out of time. The Raptors were led by Kyle Lowry, who had 20 points, 11 assists, and 2 rebounds. Lebron James led the Cavaliers with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Kyrie Irving also helped the Cavs out with 24 points and 10 assists. Game two of the seven-game series will be back in Cleveland on Wednesday night at 7 PM.
