This year, the Bath Catfish had a successful season. Five swimmers made it to districts in four different events. There was one relay and three individual events that made it to districts. There was some drama involved with the 200 medley with Christian Kleman, Caden Schmidt, Ethan Daniels and Reece Spralin this year. The original team included Keaton Manley, but due to an injury, there was a swim off to fill Keaton’s position. The competition was between Reece, Jackson Chiem, and Vincent Abrams, and Reece came out victorious. During districts, Ethan Daniels was able to beat the school record in the 100 fly. His time at districts was 57.65 seconds, shattering the previous record. Even though this time did not qualify him for state, he is only a sophomore, which means he has two more years to improve and make it further. If you are interested in joining swim, make sure to join because it is a very fun sport!
