Wild Card Playoffs

The Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions played each other in the NFC Wild Card Playoff game on Saturday, January 7, 2016.  After a scoreless first quarter, the Seahawks took the lead in the second quarter by scoring the first touchdown of the game. Both teams scored a field goal to give the Seahawks the lead by a touchdown going into the second half.  In the third quarter, Lions kicker, Matt Prater, scored a 51-yard field goal to make the score 6-10 going into the final quarter of the game.  In the beginning of the fourth quarter, Seahawks kicker, Steven Hauschka, complete a 27-yard field goal.  In the last nine minutes of the game, the Seahawks scored two touchdowns.  Their final touchdown of the game was a 13-yard pass from quarterback, Russell Wilson, to Doug Baldwin.  The Seahawks will advance to the next round of the playoffs and play the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome on January 14th.
