The Valravn is the newest roller coaster at Cedar Point, an amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio right beside Lake Erie. The Valravn is the longest, fastest, and tallest dive coaster in the world, which has earned it high acclaim. While the ride lasts only two minutes and seventeen seconds, the 233-foot coaster reaches speeds of up to 75 mph! After reaching the top of the first hill, riders are held looking over the edge of the 214 foot drop for four seconds. After the long wait, passengers are dropped at a ninety degree angle before continuing on for the rest of the ride. The Valravn helped Cedar Point to break ten new world records, including Most Rides at One Amusement Park (71) and Most Roller Coaster Track at One Amusement Park (11.4 miles). The last time a roller coaster broke this many world records was in 2000, when the Millenium Force opened in Cedar Point. Hurry to Cedar Point to ride the Valravn before the park closes for the winter!
