March 23, 2016 is also known as National Puppy Day. Many people with a furry friend know that their pups are very loyal and are always willing to help their owners. There are many stories of dogs helping their owners in times of need and I will outline a few of them. Chloe the chihuahua alerted her family that their house was on fire, which saved their lives. Figo the golden retriever saved his owner from an oncoming bus by throwing himself out in front of his blind owner. Jedi the black Labrador saved a seven-year-old with diabetes by jumping on his mother’s bed to alert her that his blood sugar was low. There are many ways to celebrate this holiday, such as playing fetch with your puppy, adopting a puppy from a shelter, or even watching cute puppy videos online. Any way you choose to celebrate this great day, make sure to spend some time with your furry friend.
