2016 Grammy Winners

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 15th in California. The ceremony recognizes the best music of the past year. The winners for the coveted record of the year was Mark Ronson for “Uptown Funk”, featuring Bruno Mars. Kendrick Lamar took home five Grammy awards! These awards included best rap song and best rap performance for “Alright,” and best rap album for “To Pimp a Butterfly.” Taylor Swift won Grammy Awards for the best pop vocal album and album of the year, which was “1989” and for best music video for her song “Bad Blood.” Alabama Shakes brought home some Grammys for the best alternative music album for “Sound & Color” and best rock song and best rock performance for “Don’t Wanna Fight.” Little Big Town won the Grammy award for Best Country Duo/Group performance with their song “Girl Crush.” Skrillex and Diplo with Justin Bieber won a Grammy for best dance recording for “Where Are Ü Now.” Ed Sheeran took home Grammy awards for best pop solo performace and song of the year for “Thinking Out Loud.” The Weeknd took home Grammys for best R&B performace for “Earned It” and best urban contemporary album for “Beauty Behind the Madness.” Meghan Trainor received the Grammy award for the best new artist. These great artists were just some of the very lucky people to bring home a Grammy last night.
