The Chinese economy sent stocks into the ground on Monday. The stocks in China fell so low that trading was halted for the first time. The Dow declined 450 points, falling below the 17,000 level for the first time since October. 2016 is starting a little rough, but hopefully the market picks back up soon. The wave of selling began in Asia. Trading in China was paused after the circuit breakers were tripped. The breakers act as an emergency to stop trading during times of extreme volatility. The US stocks hit session lows following fresh evidence of trouble in the American manufacturing.
