Steve Harvey made a huge mistake that the media went crazy over. He announced the wrong winner of the Miss Universe pageant. “Hey folks, I have to apologize, The first runner-up is Columbia. Miss Universe 2015 is … Philippines.” The bad thing is that as he said this, Miss Columbia was waving and posing for photos with the crown, only to have it humiliatingly taken away and crowned on the actual winner, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, a.k.a. Miss Philippines. Trump just so happens to be the former owner of the Miss Universe pageant and took to Twitter to state his opinion. He stated, “Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant. I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!” OnĀ December 21, Trump just so happened to be more understanding in front of the media and says, “Steve Harvey is a great guy. It was a terrible error, but things happen — it’s live television.” Trump then suggested both Miss Columbia and Miss Philippines ought to haveĀ been awarded the crown. “I think I’d make them a co-winner. It would be very cool,” he said.
