Warren Buffet is third on Forbes top 50 richest men alive. He has recently announced that through its investment in IBM’s stock, his company Berkshire Hathaway has lost almost two billion dollars. He first purchased IBM stock over four years ago, buying the stock for about as high as an investor could. The stock looked good for awhile and even soared to record highs, but it later shed more than a third of its value. Buffet has recently stopped investing in tech companies to avoid other mistakes and losing large amounts of money. The investment in IBM was one of Berkshire Hathaway’s top four investments, and Buffet said from the beginning he was in it for the long haul. He continues to hope thatĀ things will turn around quickly.
