The Tuesday in the first full week of November is always election day.┬áVoters from across the United States go to make their picks in local elections and other local issues. This election is considered an off-year election, which is usually on odd-numbered years. In some states, governors are reaching the end of their terms and seeking re-election. Some of the highest profile issues include the legalization of marijuana in Ohio, Washington’s initiative to save endangered animals, and Texas’s amendment to allow citizens to hunt and kill wildlife. On the ballot in Kentucky, a Tea party candidate is running for state governor against a Democratic candidate.
