Dress Code Over the Years

Recently, I noticed how much the school dress code has changed over the years. In elementary school, students are not allowed to wear flipflops or sandals unless they have a strap in the back. Students usually look forward to graduating from elementary and moving to the middle school, where flipflops aren’t against the dress code. At the beginning of middle school, students could wear jeans with holes in them. A girl could also wear yoga pants without a shirt that went past her hips. A couple years later, the school changed the dress code so that students can’t wear jeans with holes unless the holes are below the knees. The most recent addition to the dress code is the rule that a girl can’t wear leggings or yoga pants without a shirt that covers her hips. Most students are unhappy about the new dress code rules that have been made in the past few years. Do you have a problem with the dress code in high school? Did you like the dress code more in the elementary, middle school, or high school?
